South Lanarkshire Council are running a competition across all South Lanarkshire’s primary schools to come up with 8 winter-related names for gritters, the funnier and the punnier the better!
Pupils can be as creative as possible but must not repeat last year’s winners which were:

· Snowblow Patrol
· Oh Plougher of Scotland
· Gritter Thunberg
· Snow Coo
· Nitty McGritty
· Gritty McVitty
· Salt Disnae
· Spready Mercury
We will be asking the boys and girls for their ideas after the September weekend. We can't wait to hear what they have come up with!
